Ceramic bearings are suitable for use in many specialty applications seeking to reduce conductivity, magnetism, overall weight and rolling resistance. Ceramic bearings are also ideal for extremely harsh environments where high temperatures and corrosive substances are present. Because ceramic is non-porous it has an extremely low coefficient of friction and requires little to no lubricant which means they are appropriate for clean room environments.
